“Strength and Conditioning is a process not a solution and we will undertake this together in a fun but professional manner with you ‘The Athlete’ the sole focus”

Developing as an S&C coach

After many years working in ‘Elite Level Sport’ from an injury and rehabilitation standpoint yet always wanting to improve, I used the ‘pandemic down time’ to study a further qualification in ‘Strength & Conditioning’.

This gave me a greater understanding of how ‘S&C’ could be integrated in a return from injury, but also allow me to work with athletes at a later stage and further into their training.

What is S&C

Considering its main pillars: Individuality, Specificity, Overload, Progression/Periodisation, Adaptation and Reversibility, Strength and Conditioning develops and monitors a program of exercise to improve and enhance an individual’s performance. Historically advantageous to Athletes it is now also utilised with general individuals looking to develop athletically.

Combining Strength Training, Aerobic Conditioning, Speed/Agility Development and Sports Specific training, some of benefits produced are;

  • Reduce possibility of injury
  • Improve Strength and Fitness related to your sport
  • Developed techniques specific to your sport
  • Improves Health
  • Increase Mobility, Stability, Speed and Endurance
  • Motor Skill Development and Enhanced Neurological Recruitment
  • Increased Bone density and Connective Tissue Function
  • Augmented Performance

Coaching

After an extensive consultation/baseline testing process, we will build a program together, that achieves your desired outcomes and take you to the next level of performance, whilst also focusing on any ‘Biomechanical deficiencies’ that may affect your progress or even have a possible detrimental influence on future fitness.

Monitoring via 1:1 Gym Sessions, regular remote meetings and modern programming platforms. This will allow us to plan loads, oversee periodization and audit your strategy as Adaptation occurs. Taking all the fundamentals of any good S&C plan into account.
